PUBLIC NOTICE

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING

Notice is hereby given that the preparation and testing of voting system components to be used in the November 3, 2026 General Election/Special Election will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at the Appling County Board of Elections office located at 83 S. Oak St., Baxley, GA  31513.  If database is not received by Tuesday, October 6, 2026, L & A will begin upon receipt.  Preparation and testing will continue daily 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until complete, and representatives of political parties and bodies, news media, and the public are permitted to observe such tests.

This test is conducted in accordance with Section 21-2-379.6 (c) of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.  These test procedures are open to the public.

ADVANCE VOTING PUBLIC NOTICE FOR NOV. 3, 2026

GENERAL ELECTION/SPECIAL ELECTION

Advance Voting for the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election/Special Election will be located at 83 South Oak Street Baxley, Georgia 31513.  It will begin on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and will run through Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.  The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily for in-house voting.  The last day for advance voting will be Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.

Saturday In Person Voting will be available on Oct. 17, 2026 and Oct. 24, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Appling County Board of Elections Office.

These dates are in accordance with Section 21-2-385(d)(1) of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.

The office’s responsibilities include:

• Assisting elected officials and candidates in completing state ethics forms and maintaining them for public inspection
• Conducting elections for federal, state, and local offices
• Federal, state, and local redistricting
• Maintaining U.S. Justice Department compliance and implementing federal and state legislation, Supreme Court Decisions, and Attorney General Opinions
• Other functions include voter registration, voter education, and service to the community where we work and live
